JULY 22, 2910 -- Utica Post 229 received three top awards at the New York Department Convention, held July 15-17 in Syracuse. They were:
- National Meritorious Service Award for “most outstanding Post children and youth program.”
- Fist Place Award for its color guard’s performance in the convention parade in downtown Syracuse, in the combined county-post family color guard category.
- First Place Award for its website, uticapost229.org.
