The Post 229 Color Guard not only performs at patriotic events like parades and more solemn occasions like wreath-laying and memorial services, but also in Legion competitions.

In fact, the team took first place at the 2009 New York Department Convention in Buffalo, successfully defending its 2008 first place title.
